Concerned Nigerians who are residents in the UK hosted a rally in support of Nigerian troops battling against deadly Boko Haram group. The rally took place at the Nigerian High Commission in London, as well as a walk to the British parliament.
Nigerian Youths in the UK are taking the bull by the horn and letting their voices heard over the killings going on in our home country. I can categorically tell you that the discussion between the British Prime Minister and American President can prove that their voices were heard too. Because when I switch on the news these days, all I hear is how the world will descend on terrorist and Boko Haram isn’t left out. So hopefully Nigerians will experience peace and no more blood shed. AMEN 🙂
They wrote different UK TV stations who covered the event and televised it. Atleast we now have the attention of the international community. BELOW ARE SOME PICTURES FROM THE RALLY AND ALSO THE MESSAGE THEY SENT OUT BEFORE THE RALLY:
We call on Nigerians and the International community to support our troops and commend their efforts to eradicate terrorism in Nigeria. Terrorism is currently a global problem which needs a global solution.
We are calling on every Nigerian to support our troops, report any person or groups of persons that are promoting or sympathetic towards Boko Haram.
We want to remind the International community that ‘what is good for Syria and Iraq is also good for Nigeria’. Nigeria deserves the same support given by the world leaders to France when they were attacked by terrorist last week.
A PEACEFUL rally will take place as scheduled below:
