According to a report on Indian Times, Nigeria is studying the military tactics used by Sri Lanka to crush the rebel Tamil Tigers for its own battle against Islamist group Boko Haram, the defense ministry said, after holding talks with officials from the island nation.
Abuja has been criticized for its failure to contain the militant group, which has killed thousands since 2009 and has stepped up its devastating attacks after abducting more than 200 girls from a school in northeast Nigeria.
Boko Haram, which wants to carve out an Islamist state in northern Nigeria, has exposed severe weaknesses in Abuja’s security forces and heaped political pressure on President Goodluck Jonathan, who has declared a “full-scale operation” against the group.
I found this article and decided to share…….
With rejection and shame, Igbo delegates to the just concluded APC National Convention in Abuja have arrived home.
Like the North Central zone, the Igbos returned empty handed. They went to Abuja, they were rejected, some were beaten-up by the agents of the oligarchs and this man in picture was not lucky. He was thoroughly beaten and stripped naked by APC thugs that were unleashed on Igbo delegates to ensure that they will not actively participate in the convention or contest the arrangement pre-determined by the Lords of the party.
The biggest shame you will put to an Igbo person is stripping him or her naked in the public. That is why instead of these party men talking out their differences, our people were attacked like animals. Whatever their offense may be, they don’t deserve this.

Death comes. It comes to each family each person and is a part of the cycle right? We expect it when our family members are old and totally lived many decades. Has that been the case of Kefee?
We expect it when our loved one has been ill for a long time. Has Kefee’s death not been a sudden heart break to all of us who believed and supported her?
From the day we come into the world kicking and screaming or quiet and unassuming, we are one step closer to the end. Some try to defy the end by praying and hoping to live longer through vodoo….Has Kefee not believed in the giver of life and worshipped him through songs?
But the fact of the matter is when the bell tolls, it may be for us. It will inevitably be for us. It takes much soul searching to accept it when death comes totally unexpectedly.
I have respected you as a person, I have listened to your songs, I never fail to promote your songs or pictures here, I have made more than 10 posts about you on egosentrik. You are so humble yet fierce….
You are one of those celebrities that appreciate the promotion they got from my Blog….and have never failed to say thank you!
WTF? Gbege don set oooo….lol. This is the type of report I see then put two hands in my pocket and in Brad Pitt’s voice I’ll ask the question “NOW WHO IS THE BOSS”????

In a press statement released by the former Governor of Anambra State Mr Peter Obi, he stated that the Gracious Dora Akunyili died of cancer by 10 am this morning Saturday the 7th of June 2014, in India where she was receiving treatment.
READ HIS STATEMENT BELOW:
On behalf of the Akunyili’s family, I wish to officially confirm the death of Prof. (Mrs.) Dora Nkem Akunyili, OFR, in a Specialist Cancer Hospital in India this morning at 10 am, Nigerian Time, after a two-year battle with cancer.
In spite her illness, Prof. Akunyili was unwavering in her belief in a better Nigeria. That was why she defied her condition and was part of Anambra State Handover Committee and the National Conference.
I sincerely could not put myself together to report this sad news as she is one of the women of substance I look up to in this life. There has been several rumours that she died several weeks ago by people wishing her dead, which was dismissed by her publicist. She was diagnosed with an unknown ailment which eventually took her life. May her soul rest in peace.
I found below tribute on a friend’s wall detailing her achievements and addressing her haters….I couldn’t help but publish it…….
You tried her when she hounded you down from killing millions with your greed, yet, God saved her and never allowed the bullet enter her skull but only her scaff. And for that 8 years (2001-2009), we had relief of your evils in pharmacy shops while you had loss of your blood money.
From that position, she became a Minister of Information and you were so embittered that she didn’t go down instead she rose higher. You kept waiting to hit her real hard but God and the People were with her and so, she lived stronger. And in 2010, while a Minister, you couldn’t contain her bravery when she changed the course of Nigerian History forever with her 10-point memo speaking the truth and speaking her mind while other of her colleagues sat on the fence peeing in their panties and stuttering in cowardice.
